Advice to PNMs from Asha Weinfeld VP of Recruitment
The best advice I have for PNMs is to be yourself. When going through this process, it all comes down to the conversations you have and who you connect with. Recruitment is all about finding a sisterhood where you can be yourself and make great memories.
This process can be very overwhelming and it is important to remember everything will work out the way it is supposed to. Just trust your gut, be yourself and have fun! I truly hope you all have a good recruitment process and make great connections at Pitt and for years to come!

Why Theta Phi?

I went Theta Phi because I could tell how genuine and amazing the sisterhood was from the first round of recruitment. I have never met a kinder and genuine group of girls I get to call my sisters! I have found my forever friends that will always be a shoulder to cry on, a sister to laugh with, or a roommate to have couch time with!!When I’m around my sorority sisters I can be the most true version of myself and I couldn’t be happier!!! Theta Phi has made Pitt feel like home and I can’t wait to make more memories with my sisters!!

I choose Theta Phi because the girls in Theta are truly so kind. Even if we’re not close- none of them to hesitate to say Hi to me, when i’m around campus. I feel very comfortable and loved in this sorority and i’m very lucky to be surrounded with such inspiring and incredible girls.

I went Theta Phi because the sisterhood was so welcoming and everyone was easy to talk to. As I talked to different girls during recruitment I felt so comfortable and knew I had made life long friends. I am so excited for the upcoming year, and I can’t wait to make more memories with my sorority sisters in Theta Phi!

Going into freshman year at Pitt I was super nervous about finding new friends and just an overall community to fit into. I was lucky enough to find a group of forever friends who were always there for me. I have never met a kinder and more supportive group of girls who were so extremely welcoming from the moment I became a new member. I am so lucky and proud to be a part of such an amazing organization and cannot wait to see what's next!
